Savita is Arts and Law Graduate from Mumbai University and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development. She has practiced law for almost 2 years in Thane District Court before starting as full time HR Professional (Free Lancer). In her career spanning 45+ years, She was associated with Aditya Birla Group (Hindalco Industries for 35 years and other organizations for 10 + yrs small durations. Her expertise as Human Resource Manager lies in Manufacturing and construction industry.

She has worked on legal matters pertaining to employment laws, sexual harassment laws and statutory compliances.

She was appointed on internal panel set up for handling Sexual Harassment complaints at Hindalco Plant. She also supports organizations as External Member for POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at work place) and does awareness sessions for employees.

She has held several responsible positions at Plant and Corporate level. She helped in formulating and successfully implementing de-bottlenecking and culture building initiatives and was a key member of long term negotiating committee (External union). As part of senior management team successfully structured and implemented program for optimizing the resources and outsourcing non-core business processes towards cost optimization program. Demonstrated leadership during mass level plant welfare functions, community development programs and rolling out business performance models at grass root levels.

She was also a part of the CSR team of the Hindalco Industries Limited and has worked extensively on the various assignments undertaken in this regard.

She is also a certified Lead Auditor by BVQI and was member of Core Team responsible for successfully obtaining ISO Certification from BVQI in Quality, Environment and Safety Standards.
